Experience Overview

Daylesford is undoubtedly one of Victoria’s most popular regional locations to visit.  Try to get a park in the town centre on a weekend, you’ve got a better chance of winning Lotto!  The Bolt have not one but two luxurious properties that our guests will enjoy as their home base during their experience.  Each guest will enjoy their own large double bedroom, with most rooms having their own en-suite bathrooms.  During this experience guests will be treated to all that Daylesford has to offer.  Daylesford is a relaxed setting so don’t expect high octane, it’ll be more of a relaxing and restorative trip.

The experience includes the following, dependant on the time of year and our guests’ needs and interests.  Please note there are no out-of-pocket expenses.

  • 3 nights accommodation at one of Daylesford’s most premium properties, our guests will certainly experience a sprinkle of luxury
  • Dinner at one of the many beautiful restaurants in and around Daylesford
  • Breakfast at Trentham General, one of our favourites, followed by a mooch around town
  • Take a trip out to the Lavender Farm, some epic photo opportunities to be had!
  • An afternoon at the Hepburn Bath House for some mineral bathing
  • Check out Daylesford Convent, a gallery, museum, café, and store
  • A meander around Daylesford Lake, and through Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens
  • A look through the local shops, which includes the Mill Market, where you can get lost for hours
  • Visit one of the many towns/villages in the area, which include, Kyneton, Castlemaine, Ballarat, Clunes.

When?

Option 1, Monday 22nd of November to Thursday the 24th of November

Option 2, Friday 26th of November to Monday the 28th of November

Pick up and drop off between 9am and 11am

Who?

NDIS Participants who are seeking social connection and activities in the community and keeping or building their independence.  We also recommend that participants attend who want to work on their activities of daily living, as there are plenty of opportunities to do this.

Transport

The Bolt can provide pick up and drop off and transport through the experience.

Accommodation

Guests will be staying at one of our beautifully appointed property in Daylesford, Victoria.  Guests can expect their own large double bedroom, with a king-sized bed and luxurious bedding.  Check out the photos on our website.

Number of spots

The Bolt will be welcoming a maximum of 4 guests to these experiences. 

Experience activities (subject to change based on weather and guest requirements)

Day 1 – Welcome lunch for our guests to provide an opportunity for people to get to know each other.  Followed by a visit to Daylesford Convent and Wombat Hill Botanical Garden.  This will be followed by a group dinner, our guests will be encouraged to help prepare, if that’s their thing.

Day 2 – Following a home cooked breakfast, guests will be treated to a trip to Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa.  Guests will undertake mineral bathing which is said to provide a ‘health for life experience of rejuvenation, relaxation and enhanced overall wellbeing’.  Weather permitting, guests will enjoy an outdoor dining experience in our beautiful gardens.

Day 3 – Breakfast at one of the many beautiful cafes in and around Daylesford will be followed by a wander around Daylesford Lake.  Following this we will head into town for a mooch around the shops and a refuel, if required.  For dinner, we will be heading out to enjoy one of Daylesford’s many high-quality restaurants.

Day 4 – A lazy morning after the night before.  Guests will pack their bags and enjoy a final breakfast together, swap numbers and social handles before we head out to visit the Lavender Farm on our way home.
