You’ll be staying in Daylesford where we are lucky to be surrounded by several beautiful gardens. Literally right across the street from where you’ll be staying is the historic Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens, what better spot for a garden enthusiast to stay. We’ll be taking a stroll through this 160-year-old gardens and enjoying the delights of the Wombat Hill House Café, after all isn’t that part of the fun of gardens!
That’s not it though, we’ll be visiting the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve and trying the world-famous mineral water, bring a bottle and you can take some home with you. In addition, there are numerous private gardens in and around Daylesford and we’ll be sampling some of these on every experience, Maze House, Gardens of Tieva Tara, Gardens of St Erth and Blackwood Ridge to names a few. The great thing about gardens, depending what time of year you visit you will always see something new.
The Garden Enthusiasts Experience is curated for guests who want to wile away their time strolling around the beautiful gardens in and around Macedon Ranges. We don’t move quickly on this experience and we make sure to make regular refreshment stops to keep hydrated and our energy up. There is walking involved on this experience but think of it as a stroll rather than a hike and you’ll get the drift.
The Bolt recognises the traditional owners of the land that this short stay takes place on, the Dja Dja Wurrung people.
